The coder can record real-time sessions for the current day and adjust start/end time, and elapsed minutes are tracked. Or manual start and end time entry, which is helpful for past days or when tracking is retrospective.
2. Add Accounts
The Coder Log enables coders to organize patient records by type. It allows them to add, edit, and delete visit details for current or past days, supporting multiple accounts under each section. Coders can switch departments as needed and manage each record’s “Visit Status,” which defaults to “Pending” to show it’s incomplete and in progress. The status can be updated to “Complete” once finalized, allowing coders to enter the same account multiple times if needed
.
3. Navigation and Retrospection
Coders can log work sessions and patient accounts for current and previous days, with edits allowed up to seven days prior. Future dates are restricted.
4. Error Notifications
a helpful error flagging system alerts coders to any duplicate account numbers or entry errors, with notifications displayed prominently at the top of the page, and these disappear once the issues are addressed
5. Time Distribution
Once all hours and patient records are logged, the coder can manually distribute time per account or utilize the ‘Distribute’ option, which evenly allocates time across patient accounts.
6. Weekly Tracking
A weekly overview on the page enables coders and managers to easily monitor the total hours worked, helping ensure consistent, accurate tracking of coder activities over time.
